Description
We’ll begin our journey along the South Coast of Iceland, a region where waterfalls, glaciers, black beaches, and volcanic formations meet the Atlantic Ocean. It’s one of the most dynamic and varied landscapes in the country.
You will first visit Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall you can walk behind, and then Skógafoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful and beautiful cascades.
From there, we continue toward the glacier tongue Sólheimajökull, offering a chance to see a glacier up close. Moving further, we will stop at the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, with its striking basalt columns and roaring waves.
At the ocean’s edge, you’ll see the Reynisdrangar Sea Stacks, rock formations that according to local legend are petrified trolls. We will also visit the village of Vík, the southernmost settlement in Iceland.
On the return route, we will drive to the Dyrhólaey Peninsula, where dramatic cliffs and natural arches provide expansive views and excellent photo opportunities.
